Murray: wow, fantastic timing! As Lucas already pointed out in a comment, we had a discussion about this just a few hours before your post, and we've outlined a plan to fix the roadmap. We'll work on it in the next few days, and we hope to go live soon (probably next week).

The main issue is that there's a roadmap for each modules in GNOME, but only maintainers know about the roadmap of a module, and we're lacking a consistent GNOME-wide roadmap. There's no reason to think this is unfixable, so let's do it.
